Women In Cardiology And Related Sciences

WINCARS is celebrating International Women’s Day by organizing its 14th National Annual Conference, WOMEN CARDIAC CARE (WCC)-2022 on 6,7, 8, 9 & 10 March 2022 virtual mode. The conference gave a major opportunity for interaction among experts and research fellows from world-reputed research institutions, universities, and medical schools in accelerating the scientific learning in the field of women cardiovascular diseases. This year, WINCARS has come up with a fascinating concept of collaboration with international female experts to seek their pearls of wisdom. In the five days of conference, the various fields viz. Interventional Cardiology, Cardio-Gynaecology, General Cardiology including Paediatric cardiology, other allied sciences, and Heart failure and Internal Medicine were discussed.

We organized the three interventional meets/ symposium as per WINCARS calendar such as IVL &DEB CONFERENCE on 1 july by Prof. Jyotsna, CARDIORENAL CONCLAVE on 29 sep in collaboration with Women in Nephrology, and SHAKTI CONCLAVE on 7 November 2022 by Dr. Sarita.

We organized the symposium “AAROGYA NAREETVA” on the occasion of International Day of action for women’s health at DMC Ludhiana by Prof. Shibba Takkar Chhabra and Dr. Mohanjeet Kaur and also conducted a Health camp on the occasion of Arrythmia week celebrations at NIMS Hyderabad.

We participated and delivered a talk and case presentations in various International and National Conferences such as CRT 2022, TCT 2022, ESC 2022, PCR 2022, Heart Congress 2022, CSI 2022, CSI NIC 2022, HD IVUS Connect, ECHOCON DELHI & NCR 2022, CHIP India Clinical & Structural Heart 2022, IIC Summit 2022, etc..

We conducted and participated in various academic programs for Students, Young cardiologists viz. Educational series on Left main Bifurcation PCI by EBC Bifurcation Academy, 4 online ROVUS Plus, Mastering Coronary Calcified lesions – School of Rock, Heart Failure Clinics Plus-Edition 2022, Healcon Conference, Managing Calcified Coronaries with Rotational Atherectomy, EVA STRIDE Conference, Gender Equity & Myocardial Infarction, Hemodynamic boot camp-II, “Sleep Medicine” by The Academy of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (APCCSM), Rota ablation workshop. etc.

We conducted the various webinars on the occasion of International and National Health days viz. National Youth Day 2022 by Prof. Jyotsna & Dr. Archana, World Cancer Day 2022 by Dr. V Sujatha, World Health Day 2022 by Prof. Hetan C. Shah, World Hypertension Day 2022 by Dr. Prerna Goyal, National Doctors Day 2022 by Dr. Kavita Tyagi, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month 2022 by Dr. Anupam Goel, and International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2022 by Dr. Preeti Gupta and Swarupama Chaturvedi, Webinar of MINT, SOLACI & Women As One on “GENDER EQUITY And MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION by Dr. Sarita Rao.

We released a book titled “Clinical Cardiology—part 1” by IJCDW Journal has 15 chapters written by nine cardiologists and is presented in lucid way. This book is an addition to existing knowledge in clinical cardiology. It will be useful for postgraduates in internal medicine and to cardiology fellows in training, and will strengthen their fundamentals in correlating clinical signs along with hemodynamic.

We also published the book titled Acute Rheumatic Fever and Chronic Rheumatic Heart Disease by IB Vijayalakshmi, and various chapters in CSI - STEMI in women and Postgraduate Medicine Book by Maddury Jyotsna.

We received prestigious awards such as Outstanding Scientist Award ISAO 2022 and Women of Excellence Award 2022 to Dr. Jyotsna, Nai Duniya Chikitsa Samman 2022 and Women’s Day Award by IBC 24 to Dr. Sarita Rao, “Exemplary Women Achiever’s Award”, “Wonderful Outstanding Women Award”, and “Indian Woman Awards (IWA)” to Dr. Prerna Goyal, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam excellence award to Dr. Mohanjet Kaur for outstanding and individual achievements and distinguished services to the nation.

We Provided PSS Awards & cash prize to 15 participants and Servier Researcher Award to 3 persons.
