Prof. S. I. Padmavathi (20 June 1917–29 August 2020)
“Dedicated to Prof. Padmavathi and all the caregivers who have worked tirelessly since the beginning of this pandemic.”
We, WINCARS, conscientiously want to dedicate this special issue on “Consensus Scientific Statement on Advisory Working Guidelines and Recommendations for Female Population in COVID Era” to Prof. S.I. Padmavathi, all patients who lost their lives to COVID-19, and all caregivers who have worked tirelessly since the beginning of this pandemic.
Prof. Padmathi was an eminent teacher, cardiologist, and path maker for young doctors.
She was the first female cardiologist in India is popularly known as the “God Mother of Cardiology.” Unfortunately, we lost her due to COVID-19 on August 29, 2020, at 103 years of age.
